I can't help but notice all the babies and toddlers amongst the refugees. The war in Syria has been going on for about 4 years, so these people chose to have children in a war zone/refugee camp.
I also notice that despite losing everything, they have managed to hold on to their mobile phones. Will we have to pick up the bill for that too?
Perhaps the bleeding heart brigade hand out free (topped up) pay as you go phones; complete with the numbers for human rights lawyers, claiming benefits, etc. on speed dial.
As for that doggy story. You'd need a heart of stone not to laugh. I'd be concerned about rabies if I thought for a second our podgy little pale hero had walked 50 yards, never mind from Syria. There's more to that story than meets the eye.
