Transfer of info from old phone to iphone

I had a Samsung D500 but have now got an iphone (bit of a cosmic leap I know!!)
What I need to know is whether it is possible to transfer photos and texts from the old phone to the new one?

texts .. no ... images .. yes ... if you have a Googlemail account then inout the details into the email settings on yr iphone and then just email the pics to your account and then save them on the phone ...

failing that if your feeling brave look for an application called Air Sharing in the app store .. lets you connect via wireless to yr pc from your iphone and you can transfer them that wy ...

I have a hotmail account but that wont work will it?
Re the Air Sharing app, it will only transfer info from pc to iphone, not old phone to iphone?
