Well I watched part of it and all I witnessed was a three on to one discussion on a matter that has nothing to do with her thoughts on the refugee crisis.

But I did not say that I agree with every thing she says, but I defend her right to say them, and if ITV chose to invite her on This Morning, in an attempt to ridicule her, they should have made it a more balanced discussion.

Incidentally while on the subject of giving names to our children, how many times do we hear others ridiculing parents who choose to give their children names such as Rupert, Montague, Randolph, Giles, Sebastian, etc, etc.

So are their criticisms more valid than those Katie Hopkins was saying on that video?

And your suggestions are, scheduled flights in and out of Syria, charted luxury liners, docking in Syria?

Might as well receive the benefit of the thousands of pounds, that they pay to the people smugglers, or would you make it all free of charge?

Oh and when would you put an end to this exodus, when the whole of the peoples of Africa are more comfortably housed in the continent of Europe?

And then what, send the transport further-a-field so as to give the peoples of the rest of the 'Third World' the same advantages, one has to be fair you understand?

You are confusing the word "better" with "best" and no-one has suggested (as far as I know) any of your ideas. If the transport by sea were of a better quality, supervised and if need be, partly funded using money that would otherwise have gone to traffickers, there would not be the number of casualties we see at present.

No one has suggested it, only that it is a possibility, there is nothing to stop them at the moment if they so wish.

Or have you some crystal ball or other assurances that they won't?

He (aog) is correct, at the moment for the first time in history anyone who can get into north Africa and into the EU countries can and do so. Most of them claiming to be Syrians and yet real Syrians are saying he/she is nothing of the sort.

Someone mentioned early on that 'losers revile Katie because they envy her' - I only ever feel a strange sort of pity that she has put her obvious good education to this use.


However if she is happy with the trappings it brings,fair enough.

I hear her name and those of other similar commentators and frankly glaze over - I have enough in my life without wasting outrage or envy on these people.


They obviously sell airtime,column inches etc so they have always and will always exist.

I think what katie meant was that the photo was staged not the bleeding death! A small dead boy is found -the Police could have covered the body immediately and put the little soul on a stretcher where he lay, Instead they get a hefty policeman to gently lift the body uncovered, in full view of cameras and carry it up the beach. Is this normal Police protocol? Where were the CSI? yes this could have been staged.not saying it was but I can see where Ms Hopkins is coming from on this one.
