You can't bring bagpipes into the actual stadium without either deafening someone or obstructing their view. So quite sensible, if a pity.
I used to wonder why selfie sticks were banned: until I actually saw one and wondered no more. Instead, I have seen a few human "selfie sticks" at the games I've been to: in other words: tap the person in front of you politely on the shoulder and ask him/her to take a picture of you. Works a treat!
