For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ."In TAKING UMBRAGE, a large circle of 32 cells, read clockwise, provides an allusive statement that also serves as a double indication of a character who must be found in a group of four cells around which a smaller circle must be drawn. 29ac (3,10) might fancifully refer to this character, although technically it is a feature which is not visible at this time. 27 clues contain a misprint that must be corrected before solving; the correct letters give an instruction (ideally to be implemented before breakfast time tomorrow). Chambers Dictionary (2014) is recommended."
Got anywhere with it, OldBoot? Tough for an EV - more like one of the less difficult Listeners, so I was fully stretched with this one.
Eventually I got the big circle when I found a word in the SE quadrant. The two allusive (i.e. cryptic) statements led me (via Wiki) to the small circle and the application of the instruction.
