Now that these are 5p each, I've got a way of getting rid of all my old ones.

I'll stand outside a supermarket selling them second-hand for 2p each.

It would be especially amusing if I sold one branded supermarket's bags outside a different supermarket :)

Now that would be a good thing for the charity shops, given in free sold at 1 or 2p! I did not give mine up this week from my on-line shopping as like many others I use them as kitchen bin liners . I still use my nylon shopping bag that is about 10/11 years old now! I wonder if basket sales will rocket ?

Just got back from Tesco, they gave me a free bag for life but charged me for the disposable plastic bags. I forgot all about them charging now.
Entrepreneur.

We use them as a kitchen bin liner, much cheaper than buying the branded variety.
So do we, 1ozzy. Dunno if we can afford to now though ;-)
Can't remember last time I needed a carrier bag... Red reminds me to take the shopping bags every time we go out... he knows me so well
Good man, Red. I must remember to put some in the car boot.
I got a free bag for life with my delivery yesterday.

I didn't get charged for my bags. I presume because I clicked the 'no bags' option. They still use them for raw/frozen/household.

Safeways had a good way of doing things with their boxes.

Go to Tesco, they're giving away their strong bags today, I grabbed a few.
They only let me have one, zebo :-(
I forgot the ice cream, so I had to get that extra, didn't seem too bothered about numbers! Sorry, didn't see your earlier post, too excited at something for nothing from Tesco. I'll need another trip to the US to stock up on lovely canvas bags from Whole Foods, what a chore.
Define //strong bags// Zebo..
..Aw maybe don't.
Co-op sell canvas bags for £1. They are really handy.
Mmmmmm, I wonder if we could get a discount if we said we know B00.
Live dangerously Tony.
I went to the supermarket with Mrs. B. the girl at the till said do you wanna carrier bag I said no she can walk. The old ones are the best.
