Five years for this sort of human nasty is not enough. Yet again Britain is a soft touch for these sort of criminals. This guy was guilty of a premeditated crime.

I thought I heard that he would complete 5 years in a youth detention centre but the rest in an adult facility ...... he is only about 14

He's 15 and will be widely hated in the system. Loads of people will be looking for an opportunity to take a swipe at him. I'd be surprised if he lasts the 5 years without cracking up.

Sorry to say...they're are a lot of nutters out there. A real headache for ourcriminal services. No need to advertise which religion is responsible for world unrest.

Now then, double standards.....I got a right rasting a few weeks back for suggesting the ultimate penalty for a 14 year old who stabbed his teacher.
This kid - very complicated situation, but he'll need intensive supervision and treatment to ever be allowed out into society. In reality if he survives five years in the system he'll emerge a highly competent thug. So we've all lost, no matter what.
I wonder how many of his real and virtual friends will think this is a glamorous life choice and copy it. And what his parents thought he was up to on his phone and computer. They were 'shocked and devastated' at the verdict, but hadn't seen fit to get in his face and make him behave beforehand.
