Why does Trigger call Rodney 'Dave'?

Simply because he thinks that's his name !

When Cassandra got pregnant Trigger to Mike : If its a girl theyre gonna name it Sigourney after the actress,if its a boy theyre gonna call it Rodney.....after Dave !

Thanks for your quick reply Matt. I had read that quote on one of the OFAH web-sites, but I am sure there was another reason. I think the writer gave it in an interview once, but I'm bu*gered if I can find it!

(Bit like why is Rigsbys cat called Vienna...)

Because when he puts it outside for the night he always says "Goodnight Vienna"

Thanks Mr Songman - I found that link last night, but we've got a small problem - our off-shore company network internet system prevents audio/video downloads...! they (the company) have no problem with us surfing on night shift, its just that they utilise 'webwatch' which blocks quite a lot of dubious sites, but also forums/chat sites, and the above mentioned audio/video! Guess I'll have to wait until i get home next week.
