LDV Pilot

on my LDV Pilot van the heater runs constantly cold, also the temp gauge rarely comes of the bottom. any ideas why this is and how to cure the problem?

central heating

when i turn on my central heating the overflow starts to flow, almost as soon as it is turned off this stops, any ideas
