Is it true that plugging a wireless network card into a centrino laptop will improve the Wi Fi signal strength to that machine?

I was told that it would but am sceptical myself

Can anyone recommend a product for for spiking you hair? I've tried a few products but none that have really done the job and there are so many out there. I've had success with Fructis and Fishshape....
