Is there a way I can stop e mails without opening them the ones i get just have names ive never heard of, and people tell me you shouldnt open them bentaxle

Ive got a Roxio update for a prog thats been downloaded ,to the pc, but I cant instal it ,windows tells me it cant find C;\ plus loads of other letters ,and then ask me if ive typed it correctly,...
