Plusnet Upload Speed

Any Plusnet users here? Do you have slow upload speeds? A friend is with Plusnet, and having swapped his router and filters for my spares, his upload speed is still very slow. I've now seen on forums...

plusnet been down for around 30hrs now back on.not very good ,i expect a bit of compo for that if only for week free...

have i read this right if i go for plusnet b/b with home phone i see there call charges for a local, call in the daytime is 6.40p but then a set up charge of 10.90p is added making the first minute...
