screeching diesel corsa..........help!

Hi guys, I'm new to this site, and really need some advice - why is my car making a screeching noise that only stops for the few seconds that I put the clutch in, once it warms up it tends to stop...

Smoking

I stopped smoking this morning but i've just had a rollup after my tea. I feel properly gutted. Has anybody else tried to stop and failed at the first hurdle?
