I am near to getting there " BUT" Are they sefish?

Are the elderly selfish? do they put you in a conscious though by deviousness? do they say, Well IF YOU HAVE TOO? we have heard it time & time again, myself included. what are your thoughts?

Any advice for me? My boyfriend is in court today & he might be going to jail.
