AC Adaptor 19v 4.74a has died

The adapter for my advent 7026 laptop has died, the output is 19v 4.74a. I have another adapter, but it's ouput is 12v 5a. I know the laptop will go on as I have tried. But will it damage my computer...

ac adapter broken

Hello folks, the ac adapter for my laptop has broken. It's output was 19v & 4.74a. I have a spare ac adapter, the same connection, but the output is 12v & 5a. Is this safe to use in the mean time or...
