citroen zx radio code?

When I recently replaced the battery on my mum's citroen zx, it requested a code for the stereo. Nobody had a clue of this and was told that a citroen dealer would be able to get it but for a fee!!!!...

CITROEN ZX car stereo

I need the code for my stereo, phoned up citroen garage and they charge for it! Was wondering if anyone out there knows it? Muchly appreciated!
