webcam fault

What is the most likely cause of my webcam locking up when i am using windows messenger, i use a laptop with xp home and an oker camera (325) a good signal 54mb but only 256 of memory card any clues

How do I get rid of the Imesh Search Page which opens now as a Mozilla Firefox Start page.I have already uninstalled Imesh.
