Mortgages and student loans

Does anyone know whether or not having student loan still to pay off affects getting a mortgage? My husband and I have a lot still to pay off and are concerned we'll never get a mortgage!

peak cut-off time?

Does anyone know what time it gets cheaper to travel in the mornings, i.e. from southampton to london waterloo, is it after 8:20 , 8:30 or 8:40 etc?? I have to get to London before 10am but don't want...

Electric window Ford Escort

The electric window (typically on the drivers side!) has stopped working - the light on the button has gone out too. Does anyone know what it needs to work again? and how much it will cost roughly?

Advice needed!

Is it ok to have a cat (thinking of getting a kitten) in a flat with no garden or balcony? If it is brought up in this environment then will it be happy as it won't know any different?
