What is the name of an aromatic dried flower bud used worldwide as a culinary spice? I keep thinking saffron - but that is not made from the bud is it?

Does anyone know of a free online GCSE learning website that is fun? We have used BBC Bitesize to death and would like something similar? Also are there test papers online? Thanks very much.
