My boiler has broken down

Does anyone know the time span that the council should fix it? I reported it straight away and they won't even tell me when they are coming out. We are freezing me and my little boy plus I am ill....

Why does CB go quiet during the

week, yet everyone livens up at weekends? Admittedly, there may be work the next day, but conversations seem to go up a gear come Friday nights. Is it because people've had a drink then?
