File pop up when I log on to internet.

Every time I log on to the internet Acrobat file page pops up. How can I stop this happening? I have tried removing Acrobat and Adobe from my programmes but it still happens.

I'm running free versions of Zone Alarm and Avast anti-virus. Is this enough for reasonable security ? If I add Spyware Doctor it seems to conflict and cause 'hanging'. Thanks.
