My Computer Has Stopped Opening Up Windows Media Player And Other Programs Like The Search Facility Any Ideas What Has Gone Wrong?

I had earlier tried to instal a removable card in the usb but although the computer had found the new hardware I cannot locate the file to open from that micro sd card
