Lost engagement and wedding ring

My Daughter took her two rings to a jewelers for repair and both rings have been lost by the jeweler, both are very expensive. Is this a matter for the police?, she has her repair slip.

Is legal for a corgi registered gas fitter to run pipes from an outside gas meter along the outside of a house and up the the brick work leaving all pipes exposed, including over guttering to the top...
