my glow plug indicator keeps flashing then the car loses power what does this mean ford focus 1999 reg

glow plug flashing whilst driving then car cuts out then starts again when turned off then on again this is happening on my ford focus 1.8td

deisel problems

im driving down the road when suddenly my coil light comes on and the power to the car has gone i turn the car off then start it again and its fine its happened about 4 times now.
