empty personal backup

Trying to recover system but previous time this happened I hit personal backup and now can`t delete it. How do I empty personal backup. All files I want I have stored to disc.

got antivirus xp2008 into computer and was told best way to ditch it was to do a system recovery which I have done but it keeps going back to an earlier recovery I did and saves personal backup. No...
