USB Ports

Is it possible to allocate a letter to a port. I am using USB stick, but when I went to backup to it I noticed the letter had changed from L to F Any ideas

Backing Up a Hard Drive

My PC Hard Drive is formatted for NTFS. I have just purchased an external Hard drive formatted in FAT32. Can I clone the PC disk to the external hard drive and restore if necessary without problems
