Im running windows vista home premium on my dell laptop, each time it re-starts after either, computer updates/installation of a programme or after un-installing a programme i get a message box saying...

What is causing this?

Does anyone know why on my computer desktop my icons no longer open the programme when double clicked? Instead it displays the properties etc. I dont know how to make it back to the usual state of...
