whiting.... tip from American friend!

I was told to spruce up some mother of pearl make a paste of whiting and water, let it dry, then buff. This would be fab. if I knew what whiting was!. Any suggestions ?

Upholstery Rag Flock / Horsehair

Could anyone tell me where I could purchase rag flock for stuffig old chairs and also where I could get horsehair, genuine, for stuffing antique chair. Thanks Steph
