I made this soup and it was delicious, delicious, delicious, what I am wondering is that the laska I made was rather a thick consistency and should it be thick or thin as I would have preferred it to...

I bought some kecap manis and was very surprised of it's taste, which reminded me of molasses, is this the right taste?
