New Way Of Dealing With Spammers

Morning,

I've just spent my first cup of coffee running through the usual reports of spammers. It was so dull I felt moved to try and be clever.

As there is a company with a prolific group of spammers (or maybe they've just Got So Many Fans). I've decided to replace any mention of one of their url's with an Amazon list of best-selling crime-thrillers.

I'll post an example as a response.

I'd still like you to report these as spam so I can have them removed from the site, but just so you know that if there is something you fancy it is safe to click through and purchase.

Also, if you have a better suggestion for the Amazon product types to display, please let me know.

PS. Just as another side note, I put my time into this and no techie time was dedicated to it - so no techie effort has been diverted from the task in hand before working on the Avatar and Back-button issues.

Yep. It was something I could do myself without dedicating tons of time to it though.

I think he means when one of the spammers/advertisers puts a link to their own site the link will automatically change to an Amzon link.
