I can think of very few frequent contributors who I'd want to be a mod and I think all the mods should be made public like they are on most other forums.

I am too nuts to be a moderator - and I am not very good at working out what is actually going on in some/most of the threads. If you get really desperate for a mod MrEd (or is that a horse?) I believe that one of my felines may have an account that he uses when I am not at all here.
