Thanks Ed for getting rid so quickly of all the questions that keep popping up about hotels/train rides/holidays in India.
I don't understand these posts at all because the spammers usually fail to return to the thread with their spam or if they do they fail to attach a link properly.
Well done Boo. Maybe they will finally give up now.
Do we still get that early morning (2 a.m.) poster with names like wddsxxccddew who posts 20 spam replies in a minute?
I see nothing wrong with arnav14's question and would be surprised if any mod deleted it. If the other questions that were deleted were like this, I am surprised they were deleted.
Of course, if they or another user who just signed up comes back with an advertising link then away it goes.
Did you notice the last 5 like this (which have now been removed) all registered between 8am and 9am on Saturday - not today! Why have they waited for 3 days before answering a single question or posting? Very strange!
Maybe it was banned user (banned from earlier spam today) using the same email address /IP address.
Ther ehave been so many today they can't all be genuine enquiries but I can't decide whether it's better to ignore or remove them.
Until they post spam, I would definitely leave them alone. Who are we to judge whether they are asking a genuine question? It is unfair to assume they do not want to know and delete the thread.
If that was myself posting and someone deleted it beacuse they thought I may turn into a spammer at some point, I wouldn't be too pleased.
I actually do tend to agree with square bear. Although they look suspicious there is actually no harm in the posts, perhaps if we tried to keep one of their threads running by posting sensible replies and asking the OP questions, they may respond. Then we could judge whether it was genuine. Just an idea ........
