Morning All.

Thanks to everyone who posted bug reports on this page:
http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/AB-Editors-Blog/Question1194930.html

Problems we're going to fix today:

1. Linebreak/New lines/Returns not carrying from text entry field to printed Question/Answer
2. Arbitrary line breaks in answers
Both of these issues can be seen here: www.theanswerbank.co.uk/AB-Editors-Blog/Question1195097.html
3. Badges seem to be missing in action. This is likely to be a case of the badges existing in code, but not in the front end.
Thanks for your patience - please me know if you spot any other issue below by:
1. Describing your issue 2. Let us know what browser you're using 3. give us a link to where you've spotted the issue.

All the best,
Ed

I didn't know Dev had his own bit of the site, we use a Dev gun at work sometimes, it's an ancient contraption but does the job.
It did occasionally have hiccups. Once most of the questions disappeared and were replaced with ones from 2007. It also used have down time every evening.
oh yes it did, at about 12.05 actually,
Cannot use quotation marks, and my posts are mysteriously adding capitals in my sentences!

I'm surprised you don't remember it like that Naomi actually. We used to have severe performance problems which made the site unusable to many. Since then we've become stable and added small improvements here and there (youtube videos for example) with relatively few hiccups. Today we have hiccups and will be standing on our head drinking water holding our breath until they go away.
And once all our log in details were disclosed.
LOL @ Ed.
There seems to be a real problem with punctuation marks. Its as in it is has ended up as it’s here at 10.16 Fri http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/News/Question1194902-4.html#answer-7527417 Ed, I remember the odd thing, but nothing like this.

";And once all our log in details were disclosed."; That's not quite true! Please don't try to pour petrol on things Umm. It's not particularly helpful. For about an hour on the 2nd September 2009 profile data was displayed, this included things like addresses and phone numbers. The problem was fixed very quickly. Login details WERE NOT DISPLAYED.
Question Author
Thanks for the report Naomi. I imagine this morning will be forgotten in the same way previous performance issues have been.
Ed, whats happened to the italics ?.
My memory is obviously waning with age. I wasn't pouring petrol on things. Just pointing out that things did used to go tits up before all the changes were made.
Ed, I haven't forgotten previous issues, but they we're nothing like those we're experiencing lately.

";My memory is obviously waning with age. I wasn't pouring petrol on things. Just pointing out that things did used to go tits up before all the changes were made."; >>>>; You said we displayed login details - we didn't.Displaying login details would be much worse.

";Ed, I haven't forgotten previous issues, but they we're nothing like those we're experiencing lately." >>> Some of the issues are exactly the same as we experienced in 2009 right after the relaunch. In fact it's a bit retro :). Anyway, we'll have to agree to disagree on the history of this - I'm just thankful that someone forgets my cock-ups eventually, even if it's not me :)

Ta Methyl.
quote[My memory is obviously waning with age] Obviously, this is a disadvantage of being omniscient Ab Editor, and may affect your followers as well?
Italics - hmm - some issues there then..
