Mm no other threads were holding for more than a few seconds such was the flood....I have no further comments to make in this matter..if you were around at the time you would know how things were...read the early posts...

It was irritating at the time. A flood of around 17 questions, some of which are actually just vehicles for offering "advice" or opinion. And of those 17 questions, many of which actually garnered some responses, just 1 reply from the OP.

I dunno, I guess I am irritated because I answered one question in good faith, thinking it was a genuine question inviting and expecting considered responses, and then to notice that it was part of a posting pattern somewhat reminiscent of a drive- by shooting just seems to suggest the poster is not really interested in any responses, so i expended effort and thought for nothing :)

Maybe, Evian, although to be honest in most of the threads I have been involved in, the OP has remained engaged with the topic in question :)

I'm torn. Other un-named poster pee's me off no end with the barage of questions. But then I don't really see why they should be banned bearing in mind the purpose of the site which many people (including me at times) seem to forget.

I'm certain there are people who will post any old question they can think of just to get a lot of answers. God knows why though.

Not strictly true, I've not complained, but when others do, they're normally removed quite quickly!
