Why should Moderators who are debating in opposition, be allowed the power to remove posts, surely they should be seen to be either impartial or not given the power to remove?

Can Moderators remove in 'clusters'?

Thought I once saw it said that they have to remove one by one and that is sometimes when a thread goes rather than a dozen posts.

Hi, just replying to AOG here, I've not read the discussion:

Moderators shouldn't remove answers for fights they're involved in.

Moderators should removed nasty posts in discussion they are involved in.

Mods do not have to be impartial in debate. They don't work for AB, they're just doing us a favour.

Ok I'm going to do the 'Oliver Twist here and step forward

I have seen posts removed on threads (not mine) that are mildly offensive yet equally offensive replies to the offensive post, made by known moderators, left up.

I have had a truly innocent remark, made in jest, and it was a very well known quote , removed and me suspended because the moderator did not get the joke.

Many regular 'beloved' posters get away with bullying,nit picking and gross offense. Someone on a thread the other night told me, without any provocation on my part, that if I was their mother they would not want to spend the day with me. This upset me but despite being reported the post was not removed

No poster on here has a means of explanation or redress. The ability to make an apology when you have offended someone, rather than be suspended for an unlimited time. would be a more adult way of dealing with misdemeanors

and finally -yes if you don't like it don't come on AB - if everyone did this there soon would be no AB. Surely better to address issues that come up time and time again than say 'my way or the highway'?

Far be it from me to join with anyone's persecution complex, but should any of the negative comments be aimed at me personally, I would like to state for the record that I do not remove posts that are directed at me personally, I would regard that as abuse of privelidge.

So, if you are having a pop at me, and your post vanishes, it is because a Moderator or the Ed has decided that the post is inappropriate, and I am not involved.

Just wanted to make that clear.
