What comments box? If I want to post another question in this section, surely I just post it in the 'Ask' box at the top. No?

no..you post question in box then under that box select category from drop down menu then ask

Ahh ... I see. I've been selecting a category from the 'View all categories' box above the latest posts. So I have to re-select the category when I want to post a question. OK. I'll give it a go. Thank you.

If you are on the Home Page of a category, where all the questions are listed, then your new question will automatically go into that category.
If you are in a thread which is showing all the answers, then you can post a new question, but there you have to select a category.

Arrrgh! I just went into 'Law', where I want to ask my question, and there is no drop down menu to select from.

I'll try posting a question in 'Law' from here where I can see a drop down menu under the 'Ask' box. I just hope the question doesn't turn up here.

the category drop down appears when you post comments under title box

Click n the title box. The other boxes will then appear.

If you are on the home page of Law, there is no drop down menu. The question automatically goes into that section.
You only get the dropdown menu when you want to post a question from within a thread of answers.

Gromit, It won't because I can't type a heading. I've just tried to post a question in 'Law' via the 'Ask' box in this section - having first selected 'Law' from the drop down menu under the 'Ask' box. I still can't type a heading.

gromit the select a cat appears wherever you are or want to post to ! for me anyway !

naomi..just go to top now enter question title then your question then select law under that ..you do not have to go into law first

Have you clicked in the question box? Does the cursor appear?
