Yeah it’s weird that this site doesn’t have an edit function, end thread, coloured text and emoticons like many other sites but maybe that’s due to the demographic here.

I think some time in the past, an edit facility was rejected as it was thought it would be mis-used. It may have been then, but I think ABers have matured. We are all grownups.

Also there isn’t a moderator panel which I find strange, you know the box at the bottom which tells you which mods are on also a user panel which shows which users are on, how many are on and the latest noob signup.

Answered removed is a very ancient way of doing things, other sites as mentioned have up votes and downvotes so if your downvotes enough your comment becomes “hidden” so cannot be seen unless you click on the “ show comment” tab

By Who? Other sites have users who run into hundreds if not thousands and a majority of users are much younger, wilder than here and if they do use misuse the facilities that’s when mods come into play.

It's Not my wish to have any further facilities on AB but for the existing ones to work correctly.

An 'Edit' button is Not necessary because it's a simple matter to read through a prepared Answer and correct it before pressing 'Answer Now'.
As regards Emojis, I would Not like to see correspondents being given a 'middle finger'.
