Past incarnations of AB did have some of the features mentioned previous. Newbie users were in in Green for a probationary period. All users could redmark a comment which broke the Site Rules and if the comment got three re marks, it was deleted. It was intended to be used to let users self moderate, but often got abused as the mob would use it to stiffle debate.
AB is a small site with not many staff behind it, so most of the wish-list is not do-able purely because of lack of resources.
