Will we be having a vote on it? If so, I don't fancy your chances TTT, as all those 'We Hate TTT Brigade' will vote against it, I know, been there got the T/Shirt.

they can all be moved into the main categories. Any half decent programmer can do that pretty quickly. They probably already have utilities to do it anyway.
I wouldn't even know how to access a subcategory. I saw that question briefly in the latest posts and now don't even know how to get back to it.

This site, and the antics of certain members, is becoming truly pathetic.
///...so it's all me is it JTT, right oh! Perhaps we should have a TTT section! ///

That's exactly how you use the News Section at the moment, geezer.

If you keep your eye on the Latest Posts Box, you'll see that SpareEd is moving questions about all over the place....

Just had two of my posts moved to other sections. Can understand the reasoning behind it but they are not categories I would post in.
All this moving around of threads, it going to be like a visit to the supermarket, don't they move around their products so that certain others catch your eyes.

I for one won't be searching the sub-categories, in case there is a thread that I might be interested in.

Some threads are buried because they're being moved into sub-categories where few look.

I've said it before but I'll say it again. If the 'Politics' section could be promoted to become a Main Category, it would take much of the stuff that's cluttering 'News'.
Good idea Naomi
It's not getting rid of them we need, it's getting visual access to their existence without having to press a cross by the main category. No see, no use. We need to go back to the old menus. And while at it, on a tablet, one ought not have to open up the category list in order to find where the search box has been hidden. That's insane.
If it wasn’t for the sub categories, we wouldn’t have quality threads like this one
Brexit should have its own subcategory, the usual suspects could flock there and leave normal ABers alone. Much more socially useful than a Christmas category.
But Brexit comes but once a lifetime. Xmas is every year.
Moving stuff to hidden categories where few venture must be bad for business, surely?
exactly what I'm saying, OG
That's real improvement in News Ed, thanks for listening.
