For as long as i have been on AB, the topic of the use of moderators come up on a regular basis. Wouldn't that suggest... possibly.... just possibly, there may be a flaw in the system, a system that may need reviewing? AB is a completely different from the AB of some 10 years ago and is dwindling in posters and subscribers. I am not suggesting that this is due to the...

// By the very fact that moderators are allowed to join in the various debates, and the fact that they might oppose other's views, then obviously that removes their unbiasedness, especially towards those who happen to hold opposite views than they themselves. //
With respect, that is incorrect.
Moderators act like the chairman in a debate. They can agree or disagree with people on either side in a discussion. They will not stop the debate because they have a different opinion, but they will referee if ABers are not respecting each other and are not obeying the rules.

If an ABer opens a thread with a question to all about usage on this site and a moderator immediately jumps in and claims this is a personal dig and announces it to all when no names were mentioned. The thread is then pulled. A long ongoing spat and personality clash twixt ABer and moderator is well established. The moderator more by paranoia and bias actually provides a link to her accusation. That smacks of abuse of position, overbearing conduct in so much that as said moderator claims it is a personal dig the thread can be pulled. Not the first time this has been done by same moderator. It happened to me as well.

By the same m.o. that is apparent on each occasion it happens.
The same moderator jumps in like a jack Russell soon as the OP appears and claims victim hood whether usernames are mentioned or not. This,we all recognise as it is along tedious clash of personalities. Because the moderator disrupts the thread as they take it personally the thread gets pulled by the same old or her buddy. The moderator did the same to me years ago.It is quite apparent to me,anyhow, there is bias and moderator abuse by this particular individual.

Retro,
You have no idea who pulled your thread, theEd, the moderator who you are disagreeing with or another moderator who is not participating in thread. Sounds like paranoia on your part to blame the mod you don’t like.
All this debate is pointless as there is no alternative to policing the site. AB employees cannot be here 24/7 so they have delegated to posters they trust to keep the site in order. Mods can be sacked, their actions can be reversed, so theEds police the moderators.
