Moderators are AB'ers first and foremost, and are as entitled to post on any thread they wish - which is what I am doing.
If you think my being a Moderator compromises my right to express an opinion, then you are mistaken.

My interpretation (which means nout but eh, here i am) of what Prudie is saying is - Some people go out of their way to try educate others on the Site Rules, in the hope it puts them in a good light in the moderator or editors eyes. Almost a virtue signalling type of situation.
"Mummy says we shouldn't have sweeties before dinner" kind of thing.

Prudie the reason andy and danny would fail to see that, would be due to their moderator position. They're conditioned to notice broken Site Rules and they're also conditioned to be in favour of those trying to endorse them. They would't see it as a brown nose situation like non moderators would.

AB is a completely different from the AB of some 10 years ago and is dwindling in posters and subscribers. I am not suggesting that this is due to the action of moderators, but that it is a contributory factor.
My suggesion, which i suggested some 8 years ago and have hinted at on many occasions since, the the function of the moderators is to identify and delete spam, trolls and illegal advertisers...PERIOD.
Contentious threads should be allowed to 2 burn themselves out as they would surely do.Disparaging remarks made by people are just life......they happen....get over it.
