The Ed is in a no-win position.
He knows who moderates and now, so only he knows how accurate accusations of bias are, and is unable to advise that information because it stops the Moderators operating properly if their decisions are exposed to constant scrutiny and criticism by the AB'ers at large.
He does the sensible thing and steps back.
There is nothing to be gained by engaging with the endless sniping and speculating by the tiny minority of trouble-makers.
Moderators act as they see fit - if the Ed deems actions to be inappropriate, he will adjust accordingly, and if he perceives that any Moderator is abusing their position, then their status is removed.
That's a decision for the Ed and Team alone, not influenced by any petty pointless personal vendettas offered by strangers against strangers.
