Answers is the number of answers gulliver as given on any threads (...usually on his own questions)... its not a measure of how many answers there's been to his questions.

yet another whingeing post on the editor’s blog complaining about gulliver… an individual user who as far as i can tell breaks no rules and posts regular questions in news of about the same quality as his detractors…

let’s get real… if gulliver was right wing and pro tory but otherwise acted just the same poster then none of you would be complaining about him… but he isn’t so suddenly you have a problem

the eds are of course free to ban whoever they like for any reason but i find it so very funny that so many people who whinge about “wokeness” and “snowflakes” are determined to get rid of a poster because he annoys them

Yes gulliver and his mod friends seem to have all but stalled what was the busiest section (possibly other than puzzles etc).

I've clicked on a few times, seen that the posts are all from one person and almost always on one subject - and I've looked away. The problem is, untitled, that it's always the same subject and always from the same viewpoint. This has the effect of stifling discussion.

It really is killing/has killed the 'News' section and t.b.h. other sections are also suffering. I used to love AB. It brought different POVs and arguments in an intelligent way. Now it feels like tolerating my teenage grandkids and trying patiently to explain the art of discussion.

Tora - You can't know that anyone has 'Moderator friends ... ' as you put it - you are agitating again, and that's detrimental to the site you claim to care about and want to protect.

I said " I can't speak for the others but I don't post much in news because it's become a farce" - Note the word become, yes I have been an avid poster but not so much of late as thus imparted.

Yes I have regular themes to some of my posts but I don't post the same thing everyday, sometimes more than once. I also have other subjects beyond Brexit and Boris.

i think some abers go to the news section and see gullivers posts of basket case britain, remainers, boris this that and the other tories blah blah..and think erm im off. ignore him as andy said, but i guess some just get fedup with it.
