What is your definition of a Troll?
This is how most dictionary's describe trolling.
"Trolling is when someone post or comments online to deliberately upset others."
Why do you think gulliver is not doing that?

I believe gulliver delights in schadenfreude and uses this site to achieve it, I also think this site shouldn't facilitate in his obsession. We don't know how many people have left Answerbank because of him but I'm pretty certain nobody has joined because he posts here.
In other words he is detrimental to this site yet seems to be immune to Site Rules.

gulliver’s posts are no more “deliberately upsetting” than anything toratoratora writes about “fifth columnists” or “anti british” or “friends of islam” or whatever… but that’s ok because he’s right wing so people approve of it

all gulliver does is post repeated questions about his pet topics and then get abused by people who are under the delusion that they are entitled to know where he lives. he isn’t a troll… at least no more than many other regulars are

Ps, I couldn’t give a rats arris where he lives but if untitled would like to trawl back you’ll find Gulliver many insinuations where I lived, not the area, I’m very open a bout that, but the pub I went to etc, he has his followers who sees him as doing nothing wrong on the site as well , I very much doubt anything will be said to him and so it’ll continue

If anyone is getting cross I'd suggest let it go. Should you feel strongly ignore the posts, dont even go into them.

If sufficient people feel that way then certain posts will only attract a small number of visitors and will cease. If ABers are happy with the posts then democracy rules and they will continue. BUT, no one is forced to read them.

I often do this. However quite often the thread is hijacked or the nit pickers come along and kill it.

Doesnt bother me, I often dont have a strong onion I just post to try and keep News alive, but I know it puts others of posting

Hmmm, is that so since the 28th May? And if you read the thread clearly many do not have abusive comments. Mine dont for a start and I object to having that said.

With respect you seem to have been on this site for two days only. Had you endured this nonsense on a regular basis you may not be quite so sanguine or benevolent.
If you have ever tried typing (very slowly) a long reply to a post and checking your answer with some added links etc only to find that the post has just got zapped due to the continually stupid nonsense that this poster sends with the mayhem and frustration it engenders then you might not be so ambivalent.

Retro cop, although I joined a couple of days ago I’ve been reading it for quite a while. Also I was a member in 2011 when, if I recall correctly, there were 10 times the posts there are now and posters didn’t act. or were treated like children. I rejoined to ask a particular question but not sure if I’ll bother now
