in the News section and all from one poster - surely something has to be done about it or what is the point of even having the section?

The Troll who is posting there has killed the section.

goodness you'll just call anyone a troll to get rid of them
it used to be "stalker" and it worked ! ( used to work) - even Gully last week resurrected it ( well it is Whitsun, erm, I dont think many ABers is going to get that one)
I am sure the linguists have a term ( or even a chapter in a book) for dustbins where you put people who you dont like - labelled, troll stalker or Nazi as the mood takes you.
It IS a very news light week ( whitsun that is [damn]) R4 had "I am Daniel Browdie" a one hander playing in Newcastle about Food banks.
A lot of beareaved fathers seem to be walking everywhere minus various limbs

What a short memory you have TTT.....
Post-Brexit you used to infest the news section with multiple daily posts on that subject; few were actual 'news' but all were designed to wind-up the 'remoaners'.
It went on for months.
However, I confess to swerving News most days now as when I do look in to see w'happen the only threads around seem to be Boris-bashing, Tory-bashing, Brexit-bashing, etc. and such a narrow focus doesn't really interest me.
As for 'starting my own threads', somehow I have never acquired the knack to construct interesting threads, nor do I have the time to shepherd them.

On behalf of JTH, here’s one of your many examples – if you want more, just let me know.

Yes but that was at the time just after Brexit when the VBQC were doing their best to ignore the democratic choice of the majority of the electorate. I make no apology for posting under that threat. I'm really talking about the since Brexit has been done and dusted. Yes I put out the odd post but not 14 a week.

er shoot the poster? ter daah
I am careful about threads about threads - considering Wagner ( group not the composer) is looting Mali ( somewhere in Africa I think), Ukrainians are dying but they have to die on Ukrainian soil apparently. and most importantly Harry is due on court for immigration review

Never have I said I want Gulliver banned, but I would appreciate the Ed having a word in his shell like to get him to stop making unfounded allegations and constantly sniping at the Tories, Brexit and most of all Boris - love him or hate him we all have our opinions but Gulliver's obsession has gone past ludicrous. I wish we could 'block' posters so we didn't see any of their posts like you can on facebook. As for just not reading his posts, when a new notification appears in latest posts its impossible to know whether it is a completely new post without clicking on it (although you have to admit the majority of his posts have a heading that make it pretty obvious who it is from). When others respond you don't know till you read them who the OP is.
TTT - Gulliver is no more or less 'protected' than anyone else.
As long as his posts are within Site Rules, they stay, like yours, mine, anyone else's.
If you have a problem with the content of his posts, just ignore him
But the notion that he should be censored simply because some don't like what he had to say, is against the principles of free speech in general, and the Anserbank in particular.
Time to let this go and move on.
