Can anyone tell me what advert had the line - "Make way for the mushrooms?" I think it was for a frozen food company and seem to remember it being in a song!!??

wasn't it just advertising mushrooms?

I think it was the Mushroom Marketing Board? But a quality advert, which I constantly bemuse friends with singing the theme tune to - although I only remember the first line, a trumpet fanfare and then some mushrooms marching in a row??? Or is that a false childhood memory???

I keep hoping it will appear on youtube one day!

It was more than mushrooms; carrots parachuted in and I'm pretty sure broccoli was featured in the dining table 'battlefield' setting of this television advert . The campaign, presumably funded by the Dept of Food and Agriculture, was intended to encourage the consumption of vegetables and concluded with the stirring call to action, 'Make room for the mushroom' voiced in regal tones by a very British Sgt Major.
