Advertising bingo on tv.

Am I the only one who does'nt agree with the Bingo adds. these sort of adds encourage people to start gambling. With things as they are right now most people do not need this kind of "help" to go into more debt! Please someone stop them.

I agree with you, thrifty, I also think it would be a good idea to ban credit cards and replace them with debit cards. There's a horrendous amount of personal debt about which is largely invisible because people can have so many cards and the credit card companies won't give people SENSIBLE modest limits.

Although I agree to a certain extent, I think it's very easy to blame things such as adverts for people's problems. People need to take responsibility for their own actions. Adverts do not make people gamble themselves into more debt, people make hat decision themselves.

Don't get me wrong, I know gambling can be a horrendous thing that can ruin families, and some people are genuinely addicted and we need to ensure those people get the right support. But banning adverts for bingo isn't gonna solve the problem, encouraging people to gamble responsibly is the answer
