Animal rescue places that ACTUALLY rescue animals?????
Does anyone know of an animal rescue place that actually does come out and rescue an animal if you report it?
I have had a stray cat living in my garden for over a month now, he is tatty, malnurished, and sits out in the rain getting soaked which all suggest to me that he doesnt have a home of his own...
RSPCA will pay for a 10 min check-up at a vets but can't rescue him... Hula dont have any space...
Any suggestions please?
Buckinghamshire, UK area please.

Poor little mite. I feed any stray cats that appear round here and they often do. Can't get near them though because of my dog, who wouldn't hurt them, but they don't know that, so I just do the best I can by feeding them. Cats Protection have helped me in the past, but they're always full up nowadays.
What a sad tale but one all too familiar nowadays with animal cruelty on the rise. What a kind person you are rg to care about this poor cat, I do hope you find a solution to this and that someone/organisation will take him on. I'm really not impressed with the RSPCA with what you say, good that they will pay for the check up but what after that! Think I must seriously think about my direct debit donation to them that I've done for years when I read of things like this. Thank you for taking the time and effort to help this cat, animals really need people like you around.
ruthann that is rubbish and very unfair. On 3 separate occasions I have had cause to call out the RSPCA and they have responded every time (without any cameras being present).
They are absolutely overwhelmed a lot of the time but I have a friend who works as an area collection officer on a very large patch and he is out from first thing in the morning till 10pm at night and even later. I'm not saying they are perfect but they do valuable work and we need them.
