homing cat
due to unfortunate circumstances a friend is trying to get a 7 year old tabby to settle in her home. She has a blind dog which doesn't appear to be much of problem but she also has a young female cat and the two cats don't get on.
She has had him inside for a fortnight but now he goes out and won't go back in.
Can anyone, please, give me any ideas how to solve this problem?

It's difficult, sometimes they learn to co-exist and live their separate lives and other times they fight all the time and one has to go. I have never had this problem but I know this is a good site and you might find some help here.

As a rule cats don't usually get on with other cats. There are always exceptions to this rule -which is how we manage to get all the cute pictures of cats curling up together.
My two are siblings and, at best, they ignore each other but it is usually a bit like a Mexican stand off in the house.
