I do have a history of being a bit scatty at times, but who else gets to work/the shop/pub etc and finds poop bags in their pockets whilst routing for other things? (wallet, etc)

I arrived at work a couple of weeks ago and went to my pocket to pull my lanyard out. Only it wasn't my lanyard, it was a dog lead. I'd left my lanyard and security cards behind (hopefully OH didn't try to walk the dog with it, I forgot to ask!) Surely it's not just me? Who else does silly things like this?

please tell me the poo bags hadn't been used ? :) :)
Yes! every item of clothing I have has a roll of poop bags in it, you aren't the only one!
Anne, a few weeks ago I put on a Barbour waistcoat that I haven't worn for months, I put my hand in my pocket and low and behold......
I have shirts that have been through the wash with poo bags in the breast pocket.
Poop? When did the extra p at the end creep in? Is it an Americanism? Sorry but I hate the word. It's poo.

And, yes every bag and pocket I possess is full of poo bags. Embarrassing sometimes.
I like Kipling bags because they have little organiser pockets in them, a pocket for the poo bags, a pocket for the dog treats, one for my spare whistle and so on (non spare whistle is round my neck on a lanyard) I also carry a paracord bracelet with me in case I need an emergency dog lead.
We call them dog bags, and yes they are everywhere, handbag, coat pockets, car door etc.
As for doing silly things, I do them all the time, we went on a day trip recently, as we left I picked up my grey fleece jacket incase it was cold.
A couple of hours later it was cold and raining, I picked up my fleece and realised that i had brought my sons jumper ( same colour, and a lot smaller than my jacket )
Guess who got wet.
that will teach me to check next time before I leave the house. X

ladybirder, I was trying to be polite with the word poop, I surpass the thesaurus in the use of other synonyms. Anne, if they were used, I'd certainly know about - my little Lu produces the smelliest meadow muffins possible.

You lot are filling me with confidence. It's not just me :D
Lol yep this is us too! Infact now our girls have grown up, their travel bag and checklist that we have everything before we leave the house has now been replaced with checking we have poo bags, treats etc.. husband also has a habit of putting his hand in his pocket as we're walking along, taking it out and having a stream of poo bags following him along!
Thinks, thinks, no never.

(benefit of not having pets)
you might need them if you ever acquire a husband though, JJ
Yes poo bags and a bib, jno.
Glad I'm not alone.

Most recent was buying a frozen pizza and stopped my self from putting it in the oven, instead of the freezer.
Purse has also found its way to the bread bin and the fridge.
Mmm..... this makes me feel a lot better. ☺
At least you find things, I lose things which never seem to appear again, yet I live alone in a relatively small house. (This includes items of clothing)
I've carried a bag of poo around in my pocket for a few days. It was eventually the smell of the perfumed bag rather than its contents that reminded me it was there.
My work colleague went to the fridge to get her sandwiches and came back to her desk, opened plastic container to find she had brought the raw liver intended for that nights dinner to work with her and left her lunch at home.
Sandy, if you offer me a toffee, I think I'll have to decline!!!
Meadow muffins - love it!
When you have big dogs a and a couple of full poo bags, one in each pocket, is really good for keeping your hands warm in winter.
